In order to relocate the eyebrow the surgical process that exists is called eyebrow transplant. When one is getting older by the time, one of most occurring things is decrease in eyebrow or “Brow Ptosis (similar to Eyelid Ptosis)”. Here to counter this eyebrow relocating is one of the implied processes in Cosmetic surgery. By using this process the brow is relocated perfectly according to the subject wishes and also the decrease is negated.

Where it could be applied?
Eyebrow transplant process to restore the growth of hair can be carried out in the following cases,

  • Overly thin eyebrows
  • Sacred eyebrows
  • Completely missing eyebrows
  • Genetically missing eyebrows
  • Absence of eyebrow hair because of electrolysis or laser hair removal
  • Over plucked eyebrows
  • Any hormonal abnormality like abnormal thyroid glands
  • Eyebrows lost due to surgeries, burns or other accidents

Hairs are harvested from the scalp that continue to grow for a lifelong and that is why trimming is required once a month. To ensure the natural look of transplanted hair it is required to transplant them as one or two at a time, which is the natural way of how eyebrow hair grows. As the process is very delicate thus, requires the placements of donor hair precisely into half-millimetre incisions so that natural alignment is ensured and harming of already existing hair can be avoided.

This process usually involves the placement of 50- 325 hair (graft) into each eyebrow, depending on the required eyebrow size and density. A subject is usually dosed with oral anaesthesia but the procedure is overall painless and so is the recovery period.

After 2-4 days of the procedure is carried out, a delicate crust appears around each transplanted hair and after a week a mild occasional pinkness is faded out. Now the subject can return back to normal life activities with no signs of being through eyebrow transplant procedure. Stitches in the donor can be removed after a week and after almost 2 week the transplanted hair fall out. Now in around 3 months those hairs grow back and continue to grow for the rest of life.

Here too a FUE method is adopted but again the surgeon must be capable to ensure the transplant process to match the naturally existing alignment. Last but not the least it is suggested to design the transplant aesthetically so that it perfectly suits the subject’s facial appearance.
